OG Anunoby is approaching Swiftie territory.
The 29-year-old New York Knicks guard revealed exclusively to PEOPLE that he’s a Taylor Swift fan after the pop superstar supported the team at their infamous Game 4 victory that led to their 2026 NBA Championship title.
“I’ve never met her. But yeah, she has great songs,” Anunoby tells PEOPLE exclusively of Swift while speaking about his team up with Essentia Water ahead of his appearance at the brand’s Supercharged Court basketball takeover in Times Square, New York City on Tuesday, Aug. 18.

Anunoby had Swift’s support in the arena when he hit the iconic, game-winning tip-in with just over a second left on June 10.
“My favorite song by her?” briefly ponders Anunoby when asked, before immediately deciding on a track. “Probably ‘Blank Space.’ ” (Coincidentally, it’s also Swift’s husband Travis Kelce’s favorite song, too.)
Swift was at Game 4 of the series wearing a T-shirt emblazoned with “Stevie Knicks,” accompanied by Alana Haim and Este Haim in coordinated shirts. Alana wore a T-shirt that read “Knickelback,” while Este wore one printed with “Knickole Kidman.”

The musicians sat courtside for the game, with Swift sitting next to Mariska Hargitay. Alana sat next to Ben Stiller and Christine Taylor. Spike Lee, Adam Sandler, Michael J. Fox, Julianne Moore, Tracy Morgan and Nas were also in attendance.
While Anunoby wasn’t star struck by “no real one person” at the game, he’s appreciative of everyone for their support.
“I mean, everyone who supports us as a fan I’m very thankful for and appreciative of,” he tells PEOPLE exclusively. “So there’s no person in particular, but I appreciate everyone, every fan... celebrities, every fan I’m really appreciative of.”
Anunoby is a fan, however, of Esssentia Water, which is what makes his latest partnership a win-win.
“I’ve always been a fan of the brand,” he tells PEOPLE. “I’ve always drank the water on and off the court, so that made it easy. And then also we have the same vision, the same motto. ‘Change the equation.’ This year, we changed the equation by winning the championship.”

The Essentia Supercharged Court is an immersive basketball takeover in Times Square. Inspired by a historic season that captivated basketball fans across the country, the experience invites attendees to embrace the challenge and feel the electric energy of the game firsthand.
“It’ll be really fun to be around the fans, have a great day outside on the court, show them fun activities, watch them play, have fun and just hopefully have an amazing day,” he adds.
Anunoby, who was selected in the first round of the 2017 NBA draft as the 23rd overall pick by the Toronto Raptors and now has two championship titles to his name, tells PEOPLE that the feeling from winning the title with the Knicks for the first time in 53 years hasn’t yet worn off.
“I mean, I think we’re all going to ride the high for the rest of our life. Anytime you win, it’s so hard to win. You have to be grateful for it and appreciative of it. But I mean, of course we also have to prepare for the next season,” he says.

“So I think we’ll never forget about it and we’re always going to be proud of it — but we have to get ready for the next season,” he adds. “I hope we do it again.”
The Knicks will open the 2026-27 NBA regular season against LeBron James and the Philadelphia 76ers at Madison Square Garden on Oct. 20.
