Ohio State is one of the four finalists for top-30 basketball recruit Deng Ngor.
Joe Tipton of On3 reported the Buckeyes made the final list alongside Washington, Florida, and Duke.
Ngor is a four-star recruit playing at Fort Erie International Academy in Alberta, Canada. Rivals has him ranked as the No. 29 prospect in the 2027 class. He stands at 6-foot-8 and 195 pounds, bringing positional size, defensive versatility, and an offensive skill set to wherever he decides to eventually play. He has scheduled visits at each of the remaining four programs on the list.
The Canadian wing was a big part of Canada capturing the FIBA U18 Americup Gold Medal this past offseason. Ngor averaged 10.2 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists and 1.2 steals per game for his country. Canada ended up defeating the United States for the gold medal in the final game.

Rivals national recruiting analyst Jamie Shaw described Ngor as a "high-level connector" capable of improving any team on both sides of the floor.
Ohio State faces tough competition in this recruitment, going up against other high-profile programs. However, making the final four shows they have a legitimate chance. His upcoming visit will give head coach Jake Diebler and his staff a chance to sell their developmental vision and culture.
