To say Olivia Miles has enjoyed playing against the Las Vegas Aces this season would be an understatement. The Minnesota Lynx rookie has been a nightmare for the reigning champions, and Saturday night was simply the latest example.

Miles once again scored 20-plus points against the Aces, doing so for the third time in as many meetings this season as the Lynx secured their 29th win of the campaign with a 92-87 victory. As shared by ESPNW on X, Miles’ 20-plus-point performances in all three games against the Aces have now made her only the third rookie to record three such 20-point performances against a reigning champion.

This latest encounter between Miles’ Minnesota Lynx and the Aces ended in a 92-87 win for the Lynx. And as usual, Olivia Miles was at the very center of the victory. She contributed 23 points, four rebounds, eight assists and one steal.

Speaking at the postgame press conference, Lynx head coach Cheryl Reeve directly credited Olivia Miles for the victory, highlighting her second-half performance as a key reason Minnesota came away with the win.

Olivia Miles has been electric against the Las Vegas Aces this season, and there's plenty more to watch as the Lynx chase history. Subscribe for more interesting stories.

“Liv’s decision- making in the second half was exceptional,” Reeve said. “I thought she really found the easy pass. I thought the first half, she was trying to maybe do the harder thing.

“And in the second half, I thought she was finding the easy, just basically a pass across or a throwback off of a pick and roll. So, Liv’s second half was why we were successful.”

Although each of the previous two encounters against the Aces ended up going either way, Miles was still equally brilliant. The first meeting in June saw the Aces secure a narrow 100-97 victory in front of their home fans. Despite the loss, Miles still delivered an outstanding performance, finishing with 29 points, four rebounds and one assist.

The next meeting, on August 8, went the Lynx’s way, with Miles scoring 26 points to go along with seven assists and four rebounds as Minnesota cruised to a 98-87 victory.

Olivia Miles has indeed been in impressive form this season, leading the Lynx as they sit comfortably at No. 1 in the league standings. She is putting together an historic campaign for Minnesota, averaging 19.8 points, 6.1 assists and 4.7 rebounds per game.

Her production has simply been a major reason behind the Lynx’s dominance throughout the regular season. And with her performance so far, she’s more or less solidified her status as the heavy frontrunner for the 2026 WNBA Rookie of the Year award.

She’ll once again lead the Lynx in their next game against the Golden State Valkyries, a team that has now risen to second place in league standings. A win will take them to five wins in a row, and since Olivia Miles appears to be saving some of her best basketball for the toughest competition, it’ll most likely be another brilliant showing.
