Whether it's on the football field or the wrestling mat, Brayton Feister has made countless headlines throughout a prolific high school career. In the offseason he and his younger brother Brydon Feister once again made headlines with news of their move from Archbishop Hoban to Massillon Washington. Now just a few weeks away from the start of his senior season, Brayton is again in the headlines but this time, it's about something many around the country have been wondering about. On Friday, Brayton announced his commitment to Dan Lanning and the Oregon Ducks on the Pat McAfee Show. He chose Oregon over California, Georgia and Ohio State.

According to 247Sports, the 6-foot-2, 238-pounder is ranked as the No. 154 player in the 2027 class, the No. 10 athlete and No. 10 player out of Ohio. A Mr. Football finalist last season, Feister starred on both sides of the ball. On offense, he carried the ball 116 times for 1,098 yards and 17 touchdowns. Where he was at his best was on defense. Feister was the Division II Co-Defensive Player of Year totaling 133 tackles, 39 tackles for loss, 13 sacks, four forced fumbles and a pair of interceptions. Feister adds depth to Ducks top five recruiting class Oregon was likely going to finish with one of the top five classes in the 2027 cycle before Feister committed. Now with him on board, that is all but cemented unless some unforeseen flips occur. As it stands, 247Sports ranks the class as the fourth best in the country and the top in the Big Ten. Feister is the Ducks' 13th four-star commitment and is their 12th pledge ranked inside the top 175 for the 2027 cycle. He is their fourth linebacker pledge joining Mililani (HI) four-star Toa Satele, St. Joseph's Prep (Philadelphia, PA) three-star Brandon Lockley and Olympus (Salt Lake City, UT) three-star Sam Ngata. While not the highest-rated commit in the class, Feister is another top Midwest prospect to commit to Lanning and Ducks. Harper Woods (MI) five-star wide receiver Dakota Guerrant is Oregon's highest-rated pledge in the class coming in at No. 23 nationally. They also hold commitments from St. Joseph-Ogden (St. Joseph, IL) four-star offensive tackle Cameron Wagner and Detroit Country Day (Franklin, MI) three-star athlete Anthony Cartwright III.
