
Triple-A: Norfolk Tides 9, Gwinnett Stripers (Braves) 8
The Tides went to the bottom of the ninth tied 8-8, but rallied for the game-winner in the ninth. Ryan Noda walked, advanced to third on a pair of ground balls, and scored on a sac fly by Bryan Ramos.
Norfolk fell down 8-3 in the third inning, then started mounting the comeback. Enrique Bradfield Jr. singled to make it 8-4, then a wild pitch, a Samuel Basallo two-run double, and Rece Hinds’ RBI single made it a tie game. Heston Kjerstad also hit an RBI single. Payton Eeles finished 2-for-4 with a walk, Brandon Butterworth singled and walked, and Bryan Ramos finished 2-for-3 with three runs scored.
Look, Michael Forret’s start could have gone better. The 22-year-old righty was charged with eight runs in five innings. Cameron Weston, Yaqui Rivera, and Yaramil Hiraldo combined for four scoreless innings.

After falling down 1-0, the Shorebirds rallied when Eric Booth Jr. worked a leadoff walk, then scored on a sac fly. Infielder Jerome Nuel, recently promoted from FCL, hit a one-run single to make it 2-0 Shorebirds. Then Stiven Martínez put Delmarva up with a third-inning home run. After Salem tied it up, Delmarva got the big blast when Ty Head hit a three-run homer to put the Shorebirds up 6-3.
A five-man crew of Francisco Morao, Kailen Hamson, Jack Crowder, Andrew Herbert and Brendan Parks allowed five runs on six hits. Morao gave up two runs, Hamson one, and Herbert two runs. Crowder and Parks pitched scoreless outings.
