Cincinnati Bengals offensive tackle Orlando Brown Jr. is facing a civil lawsuit from his former girlfriend Holly Means over personal property she says he has refused to return since their relationship ended. Means alleges that she lived with Brown and their two children at his Ohio home until their June 2025 breakup. According to court documents obtained by TMZ, she claims Brown forced her to leave without notice before she could collect all of her belongings. She is seeking more than $25,000 in damages, the return of the disputed property and punitive damages. Means alleges that Brown has kept the belongings because of "anger and spite" over their breakup and her decision to move with their children to Oregon. Brown disputes her account. He says Means left the property behind, later came to his home without arranging the visit and effectively abandoned the belongings. He denies wrongdoing and is asking the court to dismiss the case with prejudice. Means Says Her Property Ended Up in Several Places

Means alleges that some of the belongings she has been unable to retrieve are now in Oklahoma and Kansas City. Both places have connections to Brown's football career. He played college football at Oklahoma before beginning his NFL career and later spent two seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs.  Her filing also describes efforts to recover property closer to Brown's Ohio home. According to TMZ, Means claims Brown prevented her from accessing belongings stored in a storage unit and otherwise blocked her attempts to retrieve personal items. The dispute escalated in January 2026, according to her account. Means says she arrived at Brown's home with police to collect her property but that he did not answer the door despite allegedly knowing why she was there. The New York Post also reported the allegation while emphasizing that Brown denies Means' version of events. Brown Says Means Abandoned the Belongings He says Means came to his home unannounced after he had previously told her not to do so. He also argues that she abandoned the disputed possessions when she left them behind after their relationship ended. Brown denies that he wrongfully withheld the property and wants the lawsuit dismissed with prejudice.  Her lawsuit alleges that Brown acted with "ill will or a spirit of revenge" and seeks punitive damages in addition to the return of the property and more than $25,000 in damages. The Lawsuit Comes Months After Brown Extended His Bengals Deal      View this post on Instagram            A post shared by Cincinnati Bengals (@bengals)

The legal dispute comes during a period of stability in Brown's NFL career. The 30-year-old left tackle signed a new agreement with Cincinnati on March 12 that keeps him with the franchise through the 2028 season. The Bengals officially announced that Brown signed a two-year extension. It was the first contract extension of his NFL career after previous deals with Baltimore, Kansas City and Cincinnati. Brown negotiated the extension without an agent. "The city, the team, this is what I envisioned for myself," Brown told the Bengals' official website, describing remaining in Cincinnati as a "dream scenario." He said the agreement provided stability for both his family and the organization. Brown originally entered the NFL as a third-round draft pick of the Baltimore Ravens in 2018. He spent three seasons there before being traded to Kansas City in 2021, where he played two seasons and won a Super Bowl before signing with Cincinnati in 2023.
