Skip Bayless didn’t hesitate to declare his winner in the battle between Caitlin Clark and Paige Bueckers after watching their WNBA battle.

Caitlin Clark and Paige Bueckers dropping 20-plus points in the same game is becoming the norm, but the Fever-Wings clash proved their rivalry has officially moved from college courts to the WNBA.

They’ve been going blow-for-blow since their high school AAUs and that iconic 2024 Final Four showdown, constantly pushing each other to higher ceiling levels.

Now sharing the court as guards on the USA Basketball FIBA roster, their head-to-head battles carry the weight of a generation.

With both in the MVP running this season, it’s almost impossible to separate them.

Skip Bayless gives special nod to Caitlin Clark in Fever win

Skip Bayless is known for his controversial takes at times, and this one may upset a few people.

Giving his verdict on X after the Indiana Fever’s win over the Dallas Wings, Bayless believes that Caitlin Clark ‘outplayed’ Paige Bueckers with an MVP-level performance.

He said: ‘Wings down 2 starters but Caitlin outplayed Paige. Each had 29 but Caitlin shot it better and had 10 assists – an MVP-caliber performance after turning hr ankle late first half.’

Caitlin Clark and Paige Bueckers both put up identical 29-point performances, but perhaps the fact that the Indiana Fever defeated the Dallas Wings 98–87 swayed his decision.

The Fever guard shot 11-of-18 from the field (61.1%) alongside 10 assists and 3 rebounds. Bueckers was equally impressive as Dallas’s focal point, tallying 29 points on 11-of-21 shooting (52.4%), to go with 6 rebounds and 6 assists.

Across the 2026 WNBA season, Clark holds an edge in overall production, averaging 21.7 points, 8.2 assists, and 3.9 rebounds per game on 44.3% shooting from the field. The Wings guard has delivered a stellar campaign of her own, keeping pace with 20.2 points, 5.8 assists, and 4.1 rebounds per game while boasting higher shooting efficiency at 50.2% from the field and 38.4% from three-point range.
