After more than three weeks of practicing and kickoff classics, the games count for real this week.
The PNJ released its initial Power Poll ranking all 14 area teams on Monday and 13 of them will play their first regular season game this week. 13. Here's the Pensacola area schedule for Week 1. All game times are listed in central time.

- Gulf Breeze at South Walton, 7 p.m.
- Booker T. Washington at Pine Forest, 7 p.m.
- Pensacola at Fort Walton Beach, 7 p.m.
- West Florida at Walton, 7 p.m.
- Jay at Baker, 7 p.m.
- Graceville at Central, 7 p.m.
