Games are won and lost in the trenches in the NFL. It is just as important to shore up your defensive line as it is to establish a foundational offensive line to support the entire offense. It will be even more important for the Minnesota Vikings to have a good OL this season as they go through a quarterback change. Minnesota has the pieces in place to be good along the line this season, but where do they rank?
According to Gordon McGuinness of PFF, who recently ranked all 32 offensive lines heading into the 2026 season, Minnesota has the 12th-best offensive line in the league. This places Minnesota just ahead of New England and just behind the Los Angeles Rams:
Christian Darrisaw has missed significant time over the past two seasons but was one of the best left tackles in football when healthy between 2022 and 2023. If he can stay healthy, he could form one of the best left sides of the line in football with Donovan Jackson at left guard if the second-year player can develop as expected. Jackson earned a 59.4 PFF grade as a rookie, with his 65.7 PFF pass-blocking grade ranking second among rookie guards.
Donovan Jackson will play a major part in this group's success in 2026. Ignoring the PFF grade and watching the tape, Jackson strung together several key performances last season, and if he can develop and take that next step, there's a pathway to Minnesota easily making the top ten by the end of this season.
