A nice win for the IronPigs who compiled 10 hits and 6 walks in the game. Catcher Paul McIntosh hit his 8th HR of the season, a grandslam in the 1st inning. Keaton Anthony added his 7th, a 3-run shot in the 4th. They had multi-hit games from Gabriel Rincones Jr., Felix Reyes, and Otto Kemp. Starter Drake Fellows went 7 innings allowing the 3 runs on 7 hits, 1 walk and striking out 2.
Chesapeake 3, Reading 2
Starter Luke Russo gave up a 3 runs and took his 7th loss of the season. The 25 year old is 9-7 on the season with a 4.34 ERA. Wen Hui Pan had a scoreless inning of relief and that marks 5 consecutive appearances giving up 0 runs. The offense behind them combined for 5 hits. One of those coming from Carson DeMartini who was 1 for 3 in the game with a walk and a stolen base, his 11th on the season.
Jersey Shore 4, Brooklyn 3 (11 innings)
The BlueClaws got a solid start from 2025 3rd rounder Cody Bowker who went 5 innings giving up 1 run on 3 hits, 2 walks and striking out 3. Jake Eddington came on in relief and went 2 innings striking out 5 batters. Devin Saltiban and Kodey Shojinaga had multi-hit games and drove in a run each. Griffin Burkholder went 1 for 5, but stole three bases in the game giving him 6 on the season.

Threshers lose a tough one after coming back to go ahead in the top of the 9th inning giving them a 5-4 lead. Reliever Luis Avila would give up the 2-runs and take his first loss of the season. Starter Cole Gilley (2025 10th rounder) went 4 innings giving up 2 runs (unearned), walking 1 and striking out 3. Everyone’s favorite very large outfielder Caden Pogenpohl only had 1 hit in the game and struck out twice. “Local Boy” Matthew Ferrera stole his 20th base of the season.
