Paris Saint-Germain have agreed a deal to sign Barcelona forward Ferran Torres on a five-year contract, according to Fabrice Hawkins.
Other reports state that PSG will pay under €50 million for the Spain international attacker as they look to bolster their forward line.
Despite clinching back-to-back Champions League and UEFA Super Cup titles alongside a host of other domestic titles, the Parisians are not resting on their laurels.
They have already signed Maghnes Akliouche. With Bradley Barcola reportedly on his way out of the club, they have lined up Mika Godts as his replacement.
Goncalo Ramos also left the French capital this summer for AC Milan, and they turned to Torres to replace the Portuguese star.
Torres delivered 21 goals in 49 appearances for Barcelona last season as a deputy to Robert Lewandowski.
He was guilty of missing many guilt-edged chances, but it is a testament to his ability to get into great shooting positions.
He went on to the 2026 FIFA World Cup, where he proved to be the hero for La Roja, scoring the winner in the final as they claimed their second World Cup title.
Torres looks set to continue his career in France as PSG aim to dominate domestically and in Europe once again.
The bigger question now is whether anyone can actually stop PSG, particularly in Europe.
They have built a squad capable of absorbing departures while adding elite quality, and their hunger clearly has not been satisfied by consecutive Champions League triumphs.
Arsenal could be among the few teams capable of challenging them if they finally overcome their European jitters and deliver when it matters most.
Barcelona, meanwhile, have the talent to compete but must prove they can handle the pressure of knockout football.
For now, though, PSG look like the team everyone else has to catch up to. Europe has a new dominant force.
