Puka Nacua believes Los Angeles’ constant celebrity attention can actually help Los Angeles Rams players handle the pressure of the NFL.
Speaking on Impaulsive with Logan Paul, Nacua explained why playing in Los Angeles does not always create extra distractions. He pointed to the team’s location and the city’s endless stream of entertainment.
“I feel like being in the valley, we’re luckily not in West Hollywood,” Nacua said. “We’re not in the downtown, so it’s not too crazy.”

The Rams receiver also believes the city’s attention can quickly shift away from football. That can give players some breathing room after major performances.
“You go out and have the best game on Sunday,” Nacua said. “You go out and score two touchdowns, go beat the Buffalo Bills or whoever it is.”
Nacua then joked about the range of teams the Rams could beat before explaining his larger point.
“But that’s the nice thing is like Monday morning Kim Kardashian or Leonardo DiCaprio can say something,” Nacua said. “And it’s like, oh, everybody forgot really about what we did.”
For an NFL team, that lack of constant football coverage can have value. Players still face intense scrutiny, but Los Angeles provides plenty of other headlines.
Puka Nacua sees distraction as an advantage

Nacua believes players can enjoy more freedom because Los Angeles offers countless alternatives to football-related attention.
“There’s so much else going on in LA where it’s like you could do whatever you want,” Nacua said.
That environment can benefit a team trying to maintain focus across a long season. Players can leave the facility without every personal appearance becoming a major football story.
The Rams also enter 2026 with significant expectations after reaching the NFC Championship Game last season. Nacua is central to those expectations following his 129-catch, 1,715-yard campaign.

Meanwhile, Nacua’s comments highlight an unusual benefit of Los Angeles. The market remains massive, but its entertainment industry can spread attention across countless public figures.
That does not eliminate pressure on the Rams. However, it can prevent every Sunday result from dominating the city’s conversation for an entire week.
For Nacua and his teammates, that balance could help them manage expectations. The Rams now need to turn that freedom into consistent performance when the season begins.
