MLB Pipeline released its midseason farm system rankings Monday evening, and the Texas Rangers landed at No. 20, their highest ranking since the 2025 preseason.
Texas climbed five spots from its preseason ranking. The Rangers were consistently among the top 10 farm systems in MLB Pipeline’s rankings from the 2022 preseason through the 2024 preseason. Since then, they have received the following placements:
- 2024 midseason: No. 26
- 2025 preseason: No. 19
- 2025 midseason: No. 26
- 2026 preseason: No. 25
- 2026 midseason: No. 20
Texas currently has three prospects in the MLB Pipeline Top 100: infielder Sebastian Walcott (No. 9), right-hander Caden Scarborough (No. 77), and left-hander Gio Rojas (No. 97).

The MLB Pipeline staff attributed the Rangers’ current lack of farm depth to a combination of “graduations, injuries, and trades.” They also noted that Texas “invested most of its 2026 Draft bonus pool in its top three picks, all of whom have impressive ceilings,” referring to Rojas, infielder Connor Comeau, and left-hander Brody Bumila. Additionally, they highlighted Yolfran Castillo, writing that readers should “keep an eye” on the young infielder, who has “one of the highest ceilings and highest floors in the system.”
