Baltimore Ravens head coach Jesse Minter is left-handed, but his agenda is to righteously deploy the team defense in 2026. Minter’s militant stare and demeanor on the team sideline were captured sequentially by broadcast cameras in the 24-7 victory over the Philadelphia Eagles. Particularly, it’s interesting to see Minter posture with his play sheet in his left hand.
Minter’s install on defense allowed just six first downs, zero third-down conversions, eight punts, and just 159 yards on Saturday. Both Minter and defensive coordinator Anthony Weaver are working with their headsets on the sideline, but not as buddies, as brethren. Minter clearly has a military-type approach, seeking rather to maintain structure and focus on execution rather than attempting to be the voice of team morale.
Camera pans over to my Head Coach and he’s holding a play call sheet No stupid look. No dumb ass face. No looking completely lost Just elite ball knowledge and looking the part I prayed for this day🥹 pic.twitter.com/74KIBLRhs6 — RavensFlock20 (@Bateman_Szn7) August 15, 2026 Inside linebacker Roquan Smith and safety Kyle Hamilton can expect to be deployed expediently in Minter's disruptive defensive scheme. Minter didn't even crack a grin after Saturday's victory; he's focused on the bigger picture, which means his task includes blotting out any potential blemishes in the playbook with his left hand. Minter won't fall into complacency or conceit; instead, he'll focus on building his star players' comfort levels and continue to construct accordingly throughout the 2026 NFL season.
