Jadeja two wickets away from 350
Jadeja's numbers underline his remarkable consistency with the ball. His 348 Test wickets have come at an impressive average of 25.12, with 15 five-wicket hauls and a best match haul of 10/154. With India beginning their two-Test series against Sri Lanka in Galle on August 15, Jadeja needs only two wickets to become the fifth Indian bowler to reach 350 Test wickets.
Jadeja has already entered rare territory with the bat and ball. He completed 4,000 Test runs in November 2025, becoming only the fourth player in Test history to combine 4,000-plus runs with more than 300 wickets. The exclusive club previously featured India's Kapil Dev, England's Ian Botham and New Zealand's Daniel Vettori.
A unique Indian double awaits
If Jadeja takes his next two wickets in Galle, he will become only the second Indian cricketer after Kapil Dev to complete the combination of 4,000-plus Test runs and 350 wickets. Kapil finished his career with 5,248 Test runs and 434 wickets in 131 matches. Jadeja, however, would become the first Indian spin-bowling all-rounder to achieve the 4,000-run and 350-wicket double.
India vs Sri Lanka Test series schedule
The first Test of India's two-match tour of Sri Lanka will begin on August 15 at the Galle International Cricket Stadium. The second Test is scheduled to be played at the Sinhalese Sports Club in Colombo from August 23 to 27.
