Reacting to the Boston Celtics schedule for the 2026-27 NBA regular season, a few things have come into focus. The league handed Boston one of the toughest schedules (16 back-to-backs!) in the NBA according to some estimates, to start. So while the Celtics may indeed be a better ball club by essentially swapping out Jayson Tatum for Jaylen Brown and adding Mitchell Robinson, they could end the campaign with a worse record. Add in that November in particular will feature a lot of back-to-back tilts, and there is a natural stretch for developing young players. And that the back half of the season will be brutal. The folks behind the "NBC Sports Boston" YouTube channel put together a clip taking a look at such contours on their "Celtics Talk" podcast. Take a look at the clip embedded below to hear what hosts Chris Forsberg and Tom Giles had to say about Boston's season to come.
