Cincinnati Reds pitcher Hunter Greene underwent Tommy John surgery to repair a torn ulnar collateral ligament in his right elbow on Wednesday, the Cincinnati Enquirer’s Gordon Wittenmyer reports.
Greene will miss the remainder of the 2026 MLB season and likely all of next season with a 12- to 18-month recovery period after the procedure.
This is the second Tommy John surgery for Greene, who also underwent a reconstructive elbow procedure in 2018.
