The ties between EuroLeague powerhouse Real Madrid and the Boston Celtics have reportedly grown thicker. Former Celtics two way guard Max Shulga has evidently made the trip to the other side of the proverbial pond to sign with the Spanish ball club according to recent reporting from Basket News Dot Com. Shulga saw his two way contract with the Celtics converted to a full roster spot near the end of the 2025-26 NBA regular season, but found himself a casualty of Boston's moves around the margins, supplanted both as a member of the regular roster and a two way spot by the incoming cohort of rookies from the 2026 NBA Draft. Now, Shulga has reportedly inked a two-year deal with Real Madrid that will have him with the team until the end of the 2027-28 season.
The Ukraine native did not have the best season with Boston at the NBA level in the 11 games he appeared in for the parent club, but had a solid season with the Maine Celtics in the G League. There, the former No. 57 pick of the 2025 NBA Draft put up 15.7 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 6.7 assists per game. .oembed-frame {width:100%;height:100%;margin:0;border:0;}
