On Monday, the Houston Rockets announced they have signed 23-year-old guard Sean Pedulla to a two-way contract.
At the moment, the recipients of Houston’s three two-way roster slots are Pedulla, Tristen Newton, and rookie guard/wing Quadir Copeland. Players on two-way contracts can shuttle back and forth between the parent NBA club and their G League developmental affliate — in the case of the Rockets, the Rio Grande Valley (RGV) Vipers — and be active for up to 50 regular-season games at the NBA level.
As for Pedulla, the 6-foot-1, 195 pound guard was eligible for the 2025 NBA draft following his senior season at the University of Mississippi. He began last season in the G League before signing a two-way deal with the Los Angeles Clippers on Feb. 19, 2026.
With the Clippers, Pedulla appeared sparingly in seven games over the remainder of the season.
During the G League regular season, Pedulla was the only player to have averaged at least 20.0 points, 6.0 assists, 5.0 rebounds, 1.5 steals, and 2.5 3-pointers made. He was named the 2025-26 Kia NBA G League Rookie of the Year.
Pedulla shot 44.4% from the field, 36.9% on 3-pointers, and 84.5% on free throws, and his true-shooting percentage was a robust 60.8%.
Pedulla spent his first three collegiate seasons at Virginia Tech before transferring to Ole Miss. He started every game for the Rebels during their run to the Sweet 16 in 2024-25 and was named All-SEC Third Team.
