
ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO/WQRF) — Rockford native AJ Storr is on the move again. Tuesday. he announced on his social media accounts that he has committed to UNLV for his fifth season of eligibility.
Storr is taking advantage of the new 5 for 5 rule in NCAA Division I and Division II that now gives athletes a five-year window to complete five years of eligibility instead of the former four years. The new rule also does away with redshirt seasons.
Last season Storr played for Ole Miss. He led his team in scoring at 15.5 points per game. His college career has spanned the East Coast to the West Coast. As a freshman in played at St. John's in New York. His sophomore year he played in Madison, Wisconsin for the Badgers. His junior year he was a Jayhawk in Lawrenceville, Kansas.
Storr live in Rockford where he attended Rockford Lutheran schools up through his freshman year before moving out of the area to Kankakee, Illinois. In 2020 he played for Bishop Gorman in Las Vegas before moving on to Arizona Compass Prep. He spent the 2021-22 season at IMG Academy in Florida before beginning his college career.
