Barcelona’s pursuit of Rodri is continuing to gather momentum, with the Manchester City midfielder making no secret of his desire to complete a move to the Catalan giants.
According to SPORT, Rodri is in almost daily contact with several members of the Barcelona squad whom he knows from the Spanish national team.
The midfielder has been exchanging messages with his international teammates and has made clear his wish to get the transfer completed as soon as possible.
Notably, Barcelona have already submitted a third offer to Manchester City after their first two attempts were rejected.
The latest proposal includes a fixed fee of €70 million, with additional payments included through variables.

Negotiations are said to be progressing as the two clubs work towards finding an agreement, while Rodri’s willingness to join Barcelona is another factor pushing the operation forward.
Rodri has strong connection with Barcelona players
One of the biggest advantages Barcelona had in the race to sign Rodri was the player’s familiarity with the dressing room.
The 2024 Ballon d’Or winner shares a close relationship with several Barcelona players through the Spanish national team.
Eric Garcia, Dani Olmo, Pau Cubarsi, Lamine Yamal, Joan Garcia, Gavi, Pedri and Fermin Lopez are all part of the group with whom he has developed a strong bond.
Those relationships have played a role in Rodri’s decision to back the Barcelona project.

That personal connection, combined with the sporting direction of the club, appears to have strengthened his interest in making the move.
According to the report, the Manchester City star sees Hansi Flick’s project as one that suits him and his style of play.
Barcelona’s €70 million Rodri offer on the table
It must be remembered that Barcelona have already seen two offers rejected by Manchester City.
Hence, their third proposal represents an increased effort to bring the Spanish international to Camp Nou, with the fixed amount now standing at €70 million.
Despite these developments, it is important to understand that there is still work to be done, but the two clubs are moving closer as negotiations continue.
