The Rojiblanco Academy continues to make its mark in the early stages of the Apertura 2026. This Sunday, Guadalajara’s U-19 and U-21 teams traveled to Torreón to face their Santos Laguna counterparts in Matchday 4, with both sides showing their Rojiblanco pride and securing crucial victories to keep climbing the standings in their respective competitions.

Here’s a closer look at both matches against the Guerreros.U-19

Guadalajara came from behind to beat Santos Laguna 3-2. Despite an early goal from the hosts, the Rebaño showed great character and found a way through the Laguneros’ defense to turn the game around.

Hendrik Castañeda scored in the 19th and 55th minutes to complete his brace, while Edgar Vargas extended Guadalajara’s lead in the 25th minute.

Santos pulled one back in the 90th minute in a final attempt to stay in the match. However, the Rojiblancos managed the closing stages well to secure the victory.

Chivas’ U-21 side also came away with a victory, defeating Santos Laguna 1-0 to pick up three important points on the road in Torreón.

The Rojiblancos broke the deadlock in the 39th minute when Anwar Ben Rhouma found the back of the net to put the Rebaño in front.

From there, the U-21 side showed defensive solidity to keep a clean sheet and secure a valuable victory that allows them to continue climbing the standings.
