As Saquon Barkley prepares for his third year with the Philadelphia Eagles -- and his ninth year in the NFL -- the running back is thinking ahead to what would interest him when he puts away his cleats for good. In an interview with People published on Aug. 12, the Super Bowl champion shared that he would be interested in the entertainment industry. “I guess you could say I’m used to it now. I would love to do this stuff when I’m done playing football — being on TV,” he says. Barkley has partnered up with C4 -- a pre-workout and fitness supplement brand -- and through the commercials he's done with the brand, he's shared how he's gotten more comfortable in front of the camera. “I think the creative team they hired had a unique approach and way of showing the concept, and for me, being an athlete and having to take on three different type of roles and characters, that was fun,” Barkley says.

When it comes to his entertainment expertise, he shared that he's not too easy to impress. Barkley shared that a lot of conversations about his favorite shows like " The Vampire Diaries," "Friday Night Lights," and "Avatar: The Last Airbender" happen in the Eagles locker room and were recommended by his former Eagles teammate A.J. Brown, current teammate DeVonta Smith, and Eagles’ assistant athletic trainer, Dr. Shaniece Jackson, for helping with great TV recommendations. “I’m a big critic, though. If you give me advice on a movie or on a show, and it’s bad, I will not trust your advice ever again,” he jokes. As he prepares for the next NFL season, he shares what his goal is: to win another Super Bowl. “Every season has its ups and the downs and adversity, but wherever challenges come, we’ll take it on together and most importantly, we’re trying to win that championship,” Barkley says. In the Eagles' first preseason game on Aug. 15, they lost 7-24 to the Baltimore Ravens. For their next preseason game, they will be facing the New England Patriots on Aug. 22 at Gillette Stadium.
