On Friday afternoon, Seahawks defensive end DeMarcus Lawrence told ESPN's Jori Epstein that the 2026 NFL season will be the last one in his storied career. After playing only four games for the Cowboys in his final season with them, Lawrence started all 16 games he was available for Seattle, including all three playoff contests. DeMarcus Lawrence was an absolute terror on the Seahawks' defensive line. He recorded 53 total tackles, six sacks, and scored two historic fumble return touchdowns in the same game against the Arizona Cardinals. Seattle earned eternal bragging rights over the San Francisco 49ers by winning Super Bowl LX on their home turf. With Super Bowl LXI in Los Angeles, the Seahawks have an opportunity to do the same for the Rams, and allow DeMarcus Lawrence to ride off into the sunset as a two-time champion.
