The Seattle Seahawks seem to have found a key reinforcement for their secondary. Late on Thursday afternoon, NFL insider Jordan Schultz reported the Seahawks are expected to sign former Detroit Lions cornerback Terrion Arnold. Yes, the very same Terrion Arnold who is currently facing eight felony charges for kidnapping and robbery with an armed weapon.

According to Schultz, second year quarterback Jalen Milroe was instrumental in giving Seattle a positive review of his former Alabama Crimson Tide teammate.

Terrion Arnold is close friends with #Seahawks QB Jalen Milroe, who gave the organization positive reviews about the type of person Arnold would be in the Seattle building and how he would fit their culture. https://t.co/sWM43ZqrxW

Seattle's interest in the embattled former first round draft pick has become increasingly evident. The Seahawks hosted him for a visit in early July, then had a second visit on Sunday, August 9th. Arnold's visit with Seattle was even documented by HBO's Hard Knocks, as episode two ended on a cliffhanger of whether or not the Seahawks were going to sign him. Well, I suppose it's good news for the producers of Hard Knocks, as it seems they've found a conclusion to this particular storyline.

Terrion Arnold was the 24th overall selection in the 2024 NFL draft. He played in 16 games his rookie year, but was limited to only eight in 2025 due to a shoulder injury. In total, Arnold has recorded 91 total tackles, 18 pass defenses, one interception and recovered one fumble. There is no doubt about Arnold's athletic ability, but that's not really in question.

As it stands, there is no trial date set for Arnold's legal troubles. And while he looks to be the newest Seattle Seahawk, there is no certainty when - or if - he will even play. According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the NFL could place Arnold on the Commissioner's Exempt list while the league reviews his case. Which of course I can only assume carries the possibility of a hefty suspension. I mean, I am no expert on the law, but I imagine being arrested for allegedly orchestrating the kidnapping and beating of three men, likely violates some aspect of the personal conduct policy.

These are all roads the Seahawks are going to have to travel down eventually, and we at Seahawks Wire will continue to closely monitor what has now become one of the most hot-button storylines of the preseason for Seattle.
