An outstanding development has just occurred that will surely put a smile on the face of every 12th Man, Woman and Child out there for the weekend. On Friday morning, the NFL released the latest batch of players for their annual Top 100 Players list. A ranking created by players from around the league, to rank their peers. Prior to Friday morning, the reigning Super Bowl LX champion Seattle Seahawks only had one representative: linebacker Ernest Jones IV at No. 97. Now, one of Jones' teammates has joined him on the Top 100 list. Seattle Seahawks quarterback Sam Darnold has now achieved a career-best spot on the Top 100 list by coming in at No. 21. Last year, Darnold made his first career appearance on the list at No. 72. Now, he is considered by his fellow teammates and opponents to truly be in the upper echelon of the NFL.

He followed it up in Seattle with 4,048 passing yards (fifth most in the NFL) and 25 passing touchdowns. Although he led the league with most turnovers during the regular season, Sam cleaned it up in the playoffs as the Seahawks became the first team in NFL history to complete a Super Bowl championship run without turning the ball over once in the postseason. The 12th Man may be constantly annoyed at how Sam Darnold (and the Seahawks as a whole) often get overlooked, but him coming in at No. 21 on the Top 100 list is something to behold. This is a list created by the players, which shows they hold the Seahawks' signal caller in high esteem.
