The 38-year-old former Barcelona and Spain midfielder, who retired as a player in 2025, has returned to the club three years after leaving to join Inter Miami in 2023. Barça said on their official website: "Sergio Busquets joins Barça Atlético as an assistant coach on Monday. The Barça legend joins Juliano Belletti's team to bring his experience and football knowledge to the Barça team while he takes the coaching course." Busquets, who won the 2010 World Cup and Euro 2012 with Spain, made 722 appearances for Barça, placing him third on their all-time list, winning nine La Liga titles, the Copa del Rey seven times and the Champions League on three occasions.
