The deluge of rain across Indiana this week and threat of flooding has impacted the high school football scrimmage schedule for Friday night.

Greenfield-Central will now host Eastern Hancock instead of Muncie Central, which experienced significant flooding. Eastern Hancock was previously scheduled to host Hagerstown, which also has been hit hard by flood damage.

Pendleton Heights had school canceled on Thursday and Friday. The Arabians’ football team spent Thursday helping the community instead of the normal school and football activities. Pendleton Heights coach Jed Richman said the team’s scrimmage at New Castle scheduled for Friday night is in doubt as of Friday morning. New Castle has also been hit hard by rain.

The Pendleton Heights football team helped neighbors in the community on Thursday who experienced flooding damage.

Fort Wayne South Side, which was scheduled to host Anderson, will play Huntington North instead. South Side announced it would be collecting water, Gatorade and canned food for spectators and making donations to Anderson High School instead of the $5 admission.
