Credit: Brian Powers/The Des Moines Register via USA TODAY NETWORK, Kamil Krzaczynski-Imagn Images Megyn Kelly is continuing to give her thoughts on the WNBA after initially calling Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark a “coward” for not publicly backing Sophie Cunningham’s stance on transgender athletes participating in women’s sports. Now, the former Fox News star is weighing in on Chicago Sky guard DiJonai Carrington. Carrington recently drew attention for a hard foul she committed on Cunningham that led to her being ejected and posting “WHITE PRIVILEGE” on Threads. Now, Kelly is commenting on the guard’s hairstyle. On Wednesday, Kelly pulled up pictures of Carrington’s hair on her show and said that she has “hair that’s whiter than mine, straighter than mine, super long.” Kelly feels that there’s a double standard that’s unfair to her and other women. “It goes down to her butt now, and she can wear this, which is obviously white girl hair,” Kelly went on. “But I can’t wear a braid, or I’m a racist. Like, or in Canada, ‘a feather.’ No, you can’t do it, but this is fine.

“She’s allowed to culturally appropriate from me, but I can’t culturally appropriate from her because it only works one way in becoming a racist, which is [expletive]… How dare she try to play the white privilege card?” For Carrington’s part, she has remained adamant that her post on Threads was not related to her foul on Cunningham. “I’ve never once claimed that the assessment of the foul was white privilege (that was your assumption),” she posted. “Try exercising your critical thinking skills, I know you studied psych. Furthermore, I’m the LAST thing from ignorant or asinine when it comes to speaking on ‘white privilege’, do ya research on that one. “I would never use that term as a rhetorical weapon knowing the historical and social weight it holds without having the proper evidence to substantiate it.” The post ‘She’s allowed to culturally appropriate from me’: Megyn Kelly does not hold back on DiJonai Carrington appeared first on The Comeback: Today’s Top Sports Stories & Reactions.
