Caitlin Clark never ceases to amaze the masses, and tonight’s 98-87 win over the Dallas Wings was no different. The Fever’s head coach, Stephanie White, was all praise for Clark after her double-double on Friday against Paige Bueckers’ led Wings.

Stephanie White Can’t Contain Her Love for Caitlin Clark and Her Game

Clark dropped 29 points while dishing out 10 assists tonight, all while boasting a 70% true shooting percentage. Bueckers matched it with 29 points along with 6 assists and 6 rebounds, but Clark’s 17-point third-quarter production underlined her explosive offensive firepower and swung the matchup in Indiana’s favor.

White, after the win, said, “She’s like a maestro, the way that she really runs our offense. I think when we’re at our best, she is instructing, she is running it much like a show.”

The key here is White giving Clark credit for “running the offense,” and no player in WNBA history has as many 25+ point and 10+ assist games as she does, with 13 to her credit.

When Clark has the ball in her hands, the Fever’s offense is humming. Granted, she is turnover-prone in the half-court when the game has slowed down (4.6 TOs per game this season), but White is seemingly willing to live or die by a Caitlin-run offense.

Stephanie wrapped up her praise by saying, “It’s tough to match up with us when she’s commanding the floor like that.”

White wasn’t the only Fever personnel to be impressed by Clark. WNBA vet, Ty Harris, said, “I’m in awe watching CC play. Sometimes it’s like it’s normal and, it’s not. So, it’s just great to be on her side officially,” with the former Iowa phenom sitting next to her at the podium.

Amid all of the discourse surrounding Caitlin lately, she’s kept a level head.

Clark is averaging 21.9 points on 45/36/86 shooting splits. She’s also putting up 8.3 assists and 1.6 steals + blocks a night to spearhead White’s offense alongside Kelsey Mitchell on a nightly basis.

The Fever are now 22-12, making this the fourth-best record in the entire league. They’re 1.5 games back from the Aces for third place.

If Clark can continue to play at this level for the rest of the season and take this version of herself into the Playoffs, Indiana can expect a fairly deep postseason run.
