Simone Biles Teases Potential Gymnastics Comeback as She Visits Her Training Gym: ‘Just How I Left It’

Simone Biles has her fans talking!

The three-time Olympic gymnast, 29, shared photos from her training gym on her Instagram Stories on Thursday, Aug. 13 that have fans convinced she’s prepping for a potential comeback.

Biles took a few snaps inside the World Champions Centre, the Texas gym owned by her parents, Ron and Nellie Biles, where she became the world’s top gymnast. In the first photo Biles shared, she showed the foam pit, various beams, a trampoline and more alongside a banner that reads, “The World is Yours!”

In a second shot shared to her Instagram Stories, Biles posted a picture of the inside of her locker. It featured beauty and self-care products, gymnastics equipment, a polaroid photo, a hand-drawn poster with her name doodled on it and a little goat stuffed animal.

“Just how I left it,” the 11-time Olympic medalist wrote over the image.

Fans of the decorated gymnast started a Reddit thread, sleuthing about a possible comeback based on Biles’ photos. Biles has not yet said if she plans to train for a shot at making the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics, what would be a record-fourth Games for the gymnast.

“Just how I left it?! Don’t play with our hearts, Simone😭,” wrote one Reddit user.

“I won’t get my hopes up... I won’t get my hopes up...” added another fan.

“Omggggg... Could this mean she’s just back having some fun in the gym? or could it realistically mean she’s training? I’m so curious lol,” asked a third.

In November, Biles spoke with PEOPLE exclusively about her “break” from competition while opening up about the new activities she’s been exploring that she couldn’t during the intense training required for gymnastics. Biles revealed that she’s taken up new sports: horseback riding and ice-skating.

“I really just do my horseback riding lessons. I had one yesterday at 5:30 PM,” Biles told PEOPLE of her newfound passion. “Usually I have it early in the morning, but since I had calls, we’re like, ‘Let’s do it the night before’.”

Biles, who’s married to Indianapolis Colts safety Jonathan Owens, got into the sport after spotting the stables near their newly-built residence in Houston.

“Our house owner right now, he has a whole bunch of horses and he’s always offered it,” she said of the horseback riding opportunity, recalling, “So I was like, ‘Okay, yeah, I’m definitely doing that!’ ”

While Biles has been relishing in the joys of freedom and exploring sports outside of the one she’s known and loved since she was 6 years old, her passion for gymnastics remains strong.

“I’ve never had the opportunity to do these because I was always in the gym 24/7 training, so it does give me a little bit of freedom,” she told PEOPLE at the time, adding, “But I still absolutely love the sport of gymnastics.”

“I still found myself turning on and watching the girls and the guys and being so excited for Team USA,” she continued. “So I have a great relationship with gymnastics. I’ve always loved it... But obviously life just looks a little bit different right now as I’m currently taking a break.”

Biles stepped back from gymnastics competition after her four-medal run at the 2024 Paris Olympics, where she won three gold and one silver. A few weeks later, she took part in the Gold Over America Tour, which ended in November 2024.
