The Philadelphia 76ers are going to look much different when they take the floor in the 2026-27 season. President of Basketball Operations Mike Gansey and his staff have done a complete overhaul of the roster and will be looking to finally get over the hump in the Eastern Conference and push this team forward.
When considering all of the changes to the roster, this means players from the previous year must move on and find new homes. For example, Trendon Watford had his team option declined for the 2026-27 season and he has found a spot with the New Orleans Pelicans. The 5-year versatile forward from LSU will look to help the Pels turn things around and move forward as a franchise.
Watford is very close with Tyrese Maxey and the Sixers superstar was happy to see his friend find a new home as he reacted to the news on his Instagram story.
