Skip Bayless has reacted to the Dallas Cowboys signing 37-year-old linebacker Von Miller ahead of the new season.
Miller has left the Washington Commanders after just one season, despite having nine sacks and 26 tackles.
The two-time Super Bowl champion will bolster the Cowboys’ defence in the pursuit of their first championship since 1995.
A passionate Cowboys fan, Bayless has now explained why the signing of Miller makes perfect sense.

Skip Bayless backs Cowboys’ move for Von Miller
Even though critics will question his age, Von Miller proved last season that he still has plenty to offer NFL defences.
A Texas native, it is also a full-circle moment for Miller, returning to the state where he grew up and played college football.
Skip Bayless is certainly delighted with the Cowboys’ signing, especially having met the 37-year-old at the Super Bowl.
“Yes, sir! Good move for the Cowboys to sign Von Miller,” Bayless tweeted hours after the deal became official.
“He’s 37 but had 9 sacks for Washington, and he’s from DeSoto/A&M and will provide championship wisdom/stature.
“We had him on Gridiron at the SBowl. Fun to be around. Welcome home, Von.”
Alongside Quinnen Williams and Kenny Clark, Miller could be part of an excellent Cowboys’ defense next season.
