The New Orleans Saints have reached the point where another injury will make fans afraid to refresh their feeds.

Veteran running back Alvin Kamara left Tuesday’s joint practice with the Dallas Cowboys because of a knee injury, prompting fresh concern for the franchise. No diagnosis or recovery timetable has been reported yet, but the news arrived one day after New Orleans learned rookie receiver Jordyn Tyson could miss the next two months with a hamstring injury.

Saints Fans React to Alvin Kamara’s Knee Injury

“Something is WRONG with our strength and conditioning,”one fan wrote in response to beat reporter Nick Underhill’s report.

Another fan sounded exhausted by the steady stream of injury news.

“I need to get off this app. Every time I come on here there’s a new injury,”the fan wrote.

“This is a comedy show,”Hayley, another fan, added.

Tre’Juan Johnson focused on the fact that Kamara was hurt before New Orleans even reached another preseason game.

“Not a game…. practice. BUBBLE WRAP EVERYONE,”Johnson wrote.

The frustration, of course, did not begin with Kamara himself. After Ian Rapoport reported Monday that Tyson was expected to miss the next two months of action, Saints supporters were already processing another significant training camp setback.

“Jordyn Tyson’s injury [expletive] but we have to look ahead,”Trizzy Trace wrote.

Another fan offered an even shorterreview: “Man this [expletive].”

There is no evidence that those injuries share a cause, and nothing reported Tuesday establishes that Kamara’s knee issue is serious. The reactions instead reflect how quickly New Orleans’ injury list has grown in August.

Saints’ Injury List Keeps Growing

Tyson suffered his hamstring injury during an Aug. 13 joint practice with the Jacksonville Jaguars. Reports emerged on Tuesday that the No. 8 overall pick could miss up to two months, potentially costing him the opening portion of the regular season.

Offensive lineman Dillon Radunz is already out for the entire 2026 season after tearing his ACL during an Aug. 8 practice. The veteran was expected to provide depth at guard and tackle.

Kamara’s situation now becomes the next one to monitor. The 31-year-old played only 11 games in 2025 while dealing with knee and ankle injuries, finishing with career lows of 471 rushing yards and 186 receiving yards.

His production also fell sharply in PFN’sRB Impact metric. Kamara finished 2025 with a 46.0 RB Impact score, ranking No. 50 among 53 qualifying running backs.

New Orleans nevertheless restructured Kamara’s contract in July to keep the five-time Pro Bowler with the franchise. He is expected to share the backfield with Travis Etienne Jr. in 2026.

For now, the Saints have not provided a timetable for Kamara. That uncertainty was enough for a fan base already watching one important player after another land on the injury report.

August is supposed to create optimism. In New Orleans, fans would apparently settle for everyone making it through practice.
