A scary scene unfolded during the PFT Live broadcast when host Michael Holley fainted on air.
Holley, 56, fainted inside his home studio during the Friday, Aug. 14 episode of the NBC Sports show while his co-host Mike Florio was talking about Troy Aikman.
As Florio weighed in on Aikman’s dual roles as a commentator and a consultant for the Miami Dolphins when Holley began looking unwell and started to sway in the moments leading up to him losing consciousness.
Holley fainted and the show cut to a commercial break.

Pro Football Talk addressed the incident soon after on X, writing, “On Friday’s @PFT_Live, Michael Holley became overheated and fainted in the studio in his home. We immediately went to a commercial break in order to get him assistance. Fortunately, Michael recovered quickly and is fine.”
In a statement to Awful Announcing, Florio said, “Michael was in the studio at his home. It’s very warm in there. He hadn’t had anything to eat or drink before the show. He became overheated during the show and passed out. I didn’t notice until he slumped in his seat, because I was looking at the camera, not the monitor.”
Florio added, “We went to break right away to try to get him assistance, if he needed it. Fortunately, he recovered quickly and is fine.”
Holley has been co-hosting PFT Live since 2024.

Fans sent in well wishes after the scary scene. One wrote, “Glad he’s doing ok. That was scary to see live. Thanks for the update. Get well soon, Michael Holley!” Another pointed out that Holley may have been “lucky” he fainted on air in the chance that no one else was home when it happened.
“Thank you for this post. So scary, I was shaking for the rest of the morning after watching this,” said another concerned fan.
