Monday's girls tennis highlights: Perry, Jackson win Federal League matches
- Perry 3 GlenOak 2: Makenzie Fearon did not drop a game in winning at No. 1 singles and the Panthers (3-0, 1-0) swept the double matches in straight sets to win a Federal League match. Winning their first and second doubles matches, respectively, for Perry were the duos of Camden Campbell and Lily Wenning, and Eloise McKrill and Rose Wenning. Hadley Fox and Lila Smith won at No. 2 and 3 singles, respectively, for GlenOak (1-1, 0-1).
- Jackson 5, Hoover 0: Claire Williams won a three-set match at first singles to lead the Polar Bears in their Federal League win. Ashley Helle and Laila Tadayon were Jackson's winners at No. 2 and No. 3 singles. The doubles winners were Halle Smith and Kamryn Rieder, and Lindsey Helle and Ava Morrow.
Monday's girls golf highlights: Peyton Beaumariage has strong showing at Magnificat tournament
- Magnificat tournament: Minerva's Peyton Beaumariage finished 15th in a tournament featuring most of the state's elite Division I girls golf teams. She shot 76 at Avon Oaks Country Club. Minerva's other scorers were Emery Sell (81), Delaney Sell (87) and Savanna Bartley (89). The Lions shot 333 as a team to tie for eighth with Brunswick. Magnificat won the tournament, shooting 290, 12 strokes ahead of Dublin Jerome. Other Stark County teams in the top 15 were Hoover (seventh, 322) and Jackson (13th, 358).
