Best No. 26 in Steelers history: CB Rod Woodson No. 26 is an incredibly historic number in Steelers history, with the all-time greatest wearer being an easy selection: Hall of Fame cornerback Rod Woodson. Woodson, selected by Pittsburgh with the 10th overall pick in the first round of the 1987 NFL Draft, was responsible for a decade of dominance, recording 671 combined tackles, 38 interceptions (the fourth most all time by a Steeler), and five pick-sixes (most in team history). Following his 10 years in Pittsburgh, Woodson also played for the San Francisco 49ers, Baltimore Ravens, and Oakland Raiders. During his 17-year NFL career, Woodson set the record for most career pick-sixes in league history with 12, as well as earning 11 Pro Bowl honors, six First-Team All-Pro selections, and three Second-Team All-Pro selections. For his outstanding career, Woodson was named to the NFL 1990s All-Decade Team, the NFL 75th Anniversary All-Time Team, the NFL 100th Anniversary All-Time Team, the Pittsburgh Steelers All-Time Team, and the Pittsburgh Steelers Hall of Honor, as well as being inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2009.
