Injuries have left the Pittsburgh Steelers battered and bruised to close out training camp, but the team received somewhat good news in the form of health updates. Pittsburgh's starting wide receivers, DK Metcalf and Michael Pittman Jr., haven't been practicing over the past week as they recover from their respective setbacks. But NFL insider Ian Rapoport shared a positive update: there isn't any serious concern from the Steelers about the injuries. “The Steelers have practiced without their only two starting wideouts: Michael Pittman Jr.’s been battling a right leg injury, DK Metcalf who has been banged up as well," Rapoport said. "Neither of those guys are really practicing. I don’t really sense any concern at all from the organization on these injuries.” That's a relief, as Metcalf and Pittman's availability is pivotal for what the Aaron Rodgers-led Steelers hope to do on offense. Pittman, who was traded to the Steelers this past March, appeared to suffer his leg injury during the Saturday Night Lights practice on August 8. But there's less information on Metcalf and his unspecified injury, as confirmation came when Rodgers revealed the receiver was banged up. As Rapoport revealed, though, the Steelers don't appear to be concerned about the setbacks. Here's to hoping both players can make an appearance in at least one of the next two preseason games, giving fans a glimpse at what this new-look offense is capable of.
