Stade Rennais midfielder Djaoui Cissé (22) is a target for RC Strasbourg Alsace, as per a report from L’Équipe.
Cissé broke through in the second half of the 2024/25 season, however, he did not back it up last season. Firstly under Habib Beye and then under Franck Haise, the France youth international struggled for game time. He is one of several players who could leave before the closure of the transfer window, alongside the likes of Breel Embolo, Jordan James, and Lilian Brassier.
Cissé has not featured in pre-season and, more than ever, it looks like his future lies away from Roazhon Park. L’Équipe understands that Strasbourg are interested in the Frenchman, although they have yet to enter into talks with their Breton counterparts. Le Racing may look to strengthen their midfield before the closure of the transfer window, having lost Valentin Barco to Chelsea earlier in the summer. Rabby Nzingoula and Junior Mwanga, who provided depth in this sector, have also departed on permanent deals.
