Sunderland are monitoring Bayer Leverkusen winger Ernest Poku, according to Bild.
The German outlet reports that a €25 million transfer fee has been discussed, with Sunderland yet to decide whether to pursue a deal for the 22-year-old.
Poku is one of several Leverkusen players who could leave the club this summer as Die Werkself look to trim their squad.
The winger only joined Leverkusen last summer from Dutch side AZ for a reported €10 million fee.
He scored five goals and provided eight assists in 48 appearances across all competitions in his first season at the German club.
