Texas A&M's 2026 offense will once again be led by redshirt junior Marcel Reed and junior wide receiver Mario Craver, who are nationally considered one of the more lethal duos in the country, connected for 917 yards and 4 touchdowns last season, while Reed threw for a career-high 3,169 yards, 25 touchdowns, and 12 interceptions during his first full starting season.
After ten preseason practices, Reed and Craver continue to build chemistry, while Alabama transfer wide receiver Isaiah Horton continues to look like one of the best offseason acquisitions, bringing much-needed size at 6'4" to an already established wide receiver rotation. Ashton Bethel-Roman and Terry Bussey have also shined this preseason, especially Bussey, who reeled in several one-handed catches.
Still, Mario Craver will serve as Marcel Reed's No. 1 wideout before he heads to the NFL next season, and is expected to match or better his 2025 production in new OC Holmon Wiggins' offense. On Monday, Marcel Reed and Mario Craver were deservedly named to the Walter Camp Award Watch List a little over two weeks before the 2026 season opener vs. Missouri State on Saturday, Sept. 5.
This offseason, Marcel Reed has not received the recognition he deserves after his career season, but this is a great step in the right direction, especially given his string of impressive throws to nearly every member of the wide receiver corps, including the best throw any of us have witnessed after connecting with Isaiah Horton for a deep 50/50 ball during Saturday's scrimmage.
