The figures behind Juventus agreement to sign Lucumi

Juventus and Bologna have reached an agreement for Jhon Lucumi to move to Turin, with the transfer expected to be completed this weekend. The Bianconeri have been working to strengthen their squad, and Lucumi has emerged as a player they particularly wanted to add this summer.

The defender was determined to join Juventus and turned down approaches from other clubs, including Como and teams in England, while waiting for the opportunity to move to Turin. His preference helped the Bianconeri secure the agreement they wanted.

Juventus Secure Lucumi Agreement

Juventus had initially wanted to sell a defender before completing a deal for Lucumi, but they have now changed their plans and secured an agreement to add him to their squad this summer. The defender will be keen to make an immediate impression and show that he can play an important role in Turin.

Although Lucumi has only one year remaining on his contract with Bologna, the club have not allowed him to leave cheaply. Juventus have therefore had to make a significant commitment to secure his signature.

As reported by Calciomercato, Juventus have agreed to pay 20m euros plus bonuses for Lucumi. The agreement demonstrates how strongly the Bianconeri wanted to bring him into Luciano Spalletti’s group. He will also earn 2.5m euros net per season for five years.

Spalletti Receives Further Backing

Spalletti has received significant backing from the club this season and will head into the new campaign with quality players in every position. The arrival of Lucumi adds another option to his squad and gives him further strength to work with.

The manager has shown that he can achieve a great deal when he is provided with the right players, and Juventus have continued to support him in their efforts to build a stronger team. The agreement for Lucumi represents another step in that process.

With the transfer expected to be completed this weekend, Juventus can now look forward to integrating Lucumi into their squad. The defender will have the opportunity to demonstrate why the Bianconeri were so determined to sign him.

The move also gives Spalletti another player to rely on as he prepares for the new season. Juventus will hope that Lucumi can settle quickly in Turin and contribute to the team’s ambitions after completing his move from Bologna.
