Tijjani Reijnders appears set to depart Manchester City this summer -Credit:Chung Sung-Jun, Getty Images Manchester City midfielder Tijjani Reijnders is in advanced negotiations with Saudi Pro League club Al Qadsiah as a £50 million ($67.4 million) deal gathers momentum. Reijnders was present at City's open training session on Thursday but is in discussions over a switch to the Middle East and appears set to leave the Etihad just one year after joining from AC Milan. He sat out the session as those talks intensify. Reijnders had drawn interest from Nottingham Forest this summer, but it is Al Qadsiah who looks poised to secure the 28-year-old's signature, as per the Manchester Evening News.

The Blues have already shattered their club record transfer fee to sign Elliot Anderson for £116 million ($155.18 million) and remain eager to land Lille teenager Ayyoub Bouaddi. Any replacement for Reijnders would come on top of those acquisitions, while City would additionally seek a successor for Rodri, who remains intent on a move to Barcelona. The Blues are holding out for a package worth £70 million ($94.5 million) for the FIFA World Cup winner, and Barca have yet to table an acceptable offer throughout their negotiations. Rodri, who has undergone minor back surgery this summer, is due back at City on Friday. The 22-year-old has long been a target for Tottenham Hotspur, with a potential £60 million ($80.9 million) transfer to London on the horizon. Jack Grealish was among those out on the training field in the Manchester sunshine, having missed the preseason tour of Asia as he continued his return to full fitness.
