Tom Brady was in attendance on Thursday evening as Fernando Mendoza made his debut for the Las Vegas Raiders.
The preseason got underway for the Raiders with defeat against the Arizona Cardinals at Allegiant Stadium.
Although it was Kirk Cousins who started the game for Klint Kubiak, it did not take long for Mendoza to be introduced for the very first time since being drafted with the first overall pick.
It was a positive start for Mendoza, who made 10 of his 16 throws in front of the onlooking Brady and Mark Davis.
Although it was Fernando Mendoza shining on the field, his younger brother, Max, was stealing the show with Brady on the sideline.

Fans were so impressed with Mendoza’s performance against the Cardinals as he threw his first touchdown as a Raider to wide receiver Jack Bech.
Ahead of the game, Mendoza’s little brother, Max, was filmed linking up with Brady on the sideline ahead of the game against Arizona.
After shaking Max’s hand and hugging him, Brady was heard saying: “Hey, Max! Good to see you, buddy.”
“How are you? I like that jacket – I have one just like that. Although yours looks a lot better than mine. That is awesome.”
Brady has had a busy summer celebrating his birthday over in Europe with his close friends and family, but he made sure he was in attendance for the Raiders’ opening preseason game.
The co-owner of the Raiders was instrumental in drafting Mendoza, so Brady being in Vegas was a big sign of his support for the development of the franchise.
Seeing Brady be so accommodating to Mendoza’s little brother highlights the huge role he played in scouting the quarterback.
Knowing Mendoza’s family as well as he does goes to show the lead role the future Hall of Fame quarterback had behind the scenes.
