An intense session unfolded on Tuesday between two NFC clubs preparing for the preseason. The Dallas Cowboys hosted the New Orleans Saints for joint work in Oxnard, California. Multiple skirmishes quickly became the dominant storyline of the afternoon.

Reports indicated that at least six separate fights took place during the drills. Some accounts later placed the total closer to seven or eight altercations. Further details emerged about specific participants in the physical confrontations. Cowboys linebacker Donovan Ezeiruaku and Saints center Erik McCoy exchanged punches early in the session. In addition, Ezeiruaku was removed from the field following his involvement. One player on the Saints could be seen tossing a helmet in the melee.
