Travis Kelce already owns three Super Bowl rings, but a different piece of jewelry drew attention when he returned to Arrowhead Stadium on Saturday. The Kansas City Chiefs tight end arrived for the team's Aug. 15 preseason opener against the Los Angeles Rams wearing a gold wedding band on his left hand. TMZ highlighted the ring as Kelce entered the stadium in a black-and-gold outfit, sunglasses and matching jewelry. The appearance came a little more than a month after Kelce and Taylor Swift married at Madison Square Garden in New York City on July 3. Kelce has already spoken publicly about the wedding, calling it the best night of his life and referring to Swift as his "wife" while talking with reporters at Chiefs training camp. The wedding band now connects that very public summer with the part of Kelce's life that has defined most of his adult career. He is back with Kansas City for his 14th NFL season and has made clear that, after the wedding celebrations, his attention has shifted back to football. Kelce’s Wedding Band Was Easy to Spot at Arrowhead      View this post on Instagram            A post shared by Kansas City Chiefs (@chiefs)

Kelce carried a drink in his left hand as he walked into GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium, putting the wedding band directly in view. PEOPLE described it as a thick gold band that appeared to feature a special design. Kelce paired it with additional jewelry, including a gold bracelet and watch. The preseason opener marked Kelce's first Chiefs game at Arrowhead since becoming Swift's husband. The couple has kept much of the first month of their marriage private, and no official photographs from inside their July 3 wedding have been publicly released. Kelce was also photographed wearing a wedding band during offseason training. He Had Already Called the Wedding the ‘Best Night of My Life’

Kelce spoke publicly about the ceremony during an Aug. 12 media session at Chiefs training camp. "The wedding was the best night of my life," he said. "I appreciate everybody who came out and celebrated and had fun with us." He described it as a "crazy night" filled with celebration before making clear that his focus had returned to his profession. "But it's football, baby," Kelce said. He was explaining his longtime desire to experience Madison Square Garden during a major event, recalling that Swift had previously attended a New York Knicks game while he was tied up with football responsibilities. "My wife went when I was stuck in a minicamp, so I didn't get my opportunity to go then," he said. Getting married inside the famous arena ultimately fulfilled that wish in a way he never anticipated. "It was kind of cool to be able to live out my childhood dream of being in that venue, the mecca of all sports venues, being able to get married in there," Kelce said. Training Camp Has Become Kelce’s ‘Sanctuary’ Again The wedding capped an unusually high-profile offseason, but Kelce has described returning to the Chiefs as a return to familiar ground. The Associated Press reported that Kelce called the team's training camp in St. Joseph, Missouri, his "sanctuary." "This is always going to be my sanctuary," he said. "I think St. Joe has a special place in my heart." The stakes are different this year after Kansas City went 6-11 in 2025 and missed the playoffs. Kelce still produced 76 receptions for 851 yards and five touchdowns while playing all 17 games, but he has said he wants to prove to himself that he can perform at a higher level. "I still got a lot of love for this game," he told reporters. "I still think I can go out and play at a high level." He also emphasized the importance of using his experience to help set a standard for the younger players around him as he enters Year 14. Kelce Dressed but Did Not Play in the Preseason Opener He dressed for the Aug. 15 matchup and participated in pregame activities, but he was among the Chiefs veterans who did not play against the Rams. Kansas City lost the preseason opener 20-12 after Los Angeles rallied with two fourth-quarter touchdowns. For Kelce, however, the more consequential games are still ahead. The 36-year-old has not publicly declared that this will be his final NFL season, even as speculation about his eventual retirement continues. What he has said is that last year's disappointing finish gave him another reason to return. "The fact that we didn't make the playoffs," Kelce told the Associated Press, "I moved on pretty quick."
