From his inflated 2025 statistics to the incoming arrival of a brand-new franchise quarterback, there is a lot to consider before clicking his name, so let’s take a look.
Tucker’s Redraft Fantasy Football Value
When assessing Tucker in redraft formats, it is critical to contextualize his physical profile and historical production. Checking in at 5’8″ isn’t a problem if you’re a fantasy researcher, but in his line of work, Tucker is facing a bit of an uphill battle.

He was never a prolific red-zone threat during his collegiate days, failing to secure more than three touchdowns in any single season during his four years at Cincinnati. That lack of scoring upside has largely followed him to the professional ranks, making him heavily reliant on yardage and splash plays.
Fantasy managers must be careful when looking at his overall 2025 stat line, as it looks substantially better on paper than it actually was on a week-to-week basis. - The Mendoza Effect: The biggest catalyst for Tucker’s 2026 value is the Las Vegas quarterback situation. The unknown factor of rookie signal-caller Fernando Mendoza should actually be viewed as a positive: things can’t get worse than the train wreck that was 2025, right?
- Target Competition: Outside of Brock Bowers, the target hierarchy in Sin City is TBD. Tucker will battle with newcomer Jalen Nailor and Jack Bech for the WR1 label, but only time will tell where Mendoza is most comfortable going with the ball.
Ultimately, Tucker is more of a flier to track on the waiver wire than he is a player you need to actively draft and stash on your bench. Keep a close eye on his usage once Vegas turns to Mendoza because the Raiders draw the Tennessee Titans and the Arizona Cardinals in the final two weeks of the fantasy football playoffs. If this new-look offense is going to flirt with 45 to 50 combined points in a crucial two-week stretch, it might well be against those defenses at the perfect time for us.
Tucker’s Dynasty Fantasy Football Value
When pivoting to dynasty fantasy football strategy, Tucker’s outlook requires a healthy dose of patience. The future is just as unclear as the present at this exact moment due to a distinct lack of data points on Mendoza playing at the professional level. How the rookie quarterback processes reads, distributes the ball, and handles pressure will dictate the ceiling of every pass-catcher on the Raiders’ roster.

That is certainly not to say that Tucker is a complete waste of space at the end of your dynasty bench. If you have deep rosters, his speed and occasional volume spikes make him an okay hold. But if he is not currently on a roster in your league, that is perfectly fine too. There isn’t a real urgency to acquire his services with Kirk Cousins poised to open the year under center.
The sharpest approach for dynasty managers is to simply pin this profile and be quick to act later. After Mendoza fully assumes the lead of this offense and settles into the speed of the NFL, we will see which receivers earn his trust. Should we see a reliable connection begin to develop between the rookie quarterback and the speedy receiver, you can make your move. But for now, there is no need to get ahead of the game with a speculative addition.
