When it came to seeing this rapper live, Tyrese Haliburton made sure he was in attendance. Haliburton took a three-hour drive to see J. Cole at his show in Chicago earlier this week. The Indiana Pacers star shared that he made sure he came out to see the concert because his favorite track is "Love Yourz." The track is from the rapper's "2014 Forest Hills Drive" album. The Pacers star shared that when it comes to his pregame warm-up, he prefers the upbeat tempo of Cole's "Fire Squad," which is also a track from the popular LP. He noted that it came out when he was 14 and that it just takes him back to a simpler time in his life. Haliburton wasn't the only one who decided to take a long drive to see the rapper. Several fans in the comment section shared that they took an almost 2-hour drive, another drove 5 hours, and one fan even drove seven hours to catch a Cole concert in Montreal.

During the reception, Haliburton went viral for reciting 50 Cent's “I Get Money,” alongside the rapper. The moment went viral because of the famous hook “I Run New York,” which the NBA star was seen lip-syncing the words with passion. The line referenced more than just Haliburton singing a song, because the Pacers star has been the face of the franchise that has kept them out of the 2024 and 2025 Eastern Conference semifinals and finals. Last season, Haliburton did not play due to an Achilles injury he suffered in Game 7 of the 2025 NBA Finals last June. However, the Pacers star is expected to return for the upcoming 2026-27 season.
