Tzolis Gets 8.5, Odegaard With 8 | Arsenal Players Rated In Impressive Win Vs Manchester City

Arsenal faced off against Manchester City at Principality Stadium earlier today as they hoped to earn a good result in the Community Shield final. The Gunners made a bright start to the game and got their noses ahead in the first-minute thanks to Riccardo Calafiori’s effort from close range. Kai Havertz doubled his team’s advantage in the 28th minute as Mikel Arteta’s men went into the half-time break 2-0 up on the scoreline.

Martin Odegaard killed the game off in the 48th minute as the North London club cruised to an impressive 3-0 win in Cardiff.

Let’s take a look at how each Arsenal player fared during the clash against Man City.

GK: David Raya – 8/10

Raya made his fair share of saves during the game and did enough to keep a clean sheet this afternoon.

RB: Ben White – 7.5/10

He performed his defensive duties well and made one good chance going forward.

CB: Cristhian Mosquera – 6.5/10

Mosquera got stuck in with a couple of solid tackles and was tidy with his ball distribution.

CB: Gabriel – 7/10

The Brazilian dealt with the danger when needed and did enough to secure the clean sheet.

LB: Riccardo Calafiori – 7/10

Calafiori didn’t do much wrong defensively and took his goal well in the first-minute.

CM: Martin Odegaard – 8/10

He ran the show inside the Man City half and deserves credit for getting himself a goal early in the second half.

Guimaraes put in a solid performance in the first half and was substituted at half-time.

CM: Myles Lewis-Skelly – 7.5/10

He was a positive influence at both ends of the field and did well to earn an assist.

Madueke looked a threat at times but didn’t do enough to register a goal.

CAM: Kai Havertz – 7.5/10

He was a constant menace in the final third and got his name on the scoresheet in the 28th minute.

LW: Christos Tzolis – 8.5/10

Tzolis caused a few problems for his marker and has got a couple of assists to show for his efforts.

CM: Declan Rice – 6.5/10

He added some energy to Arteta’s midfield.

RW: Bukayo Saka – 6/10

Saka made one decent run with the ball.

LB: Piero Hincapie – 6.5/10

He made one good chance going forward.

CM: Martin Zubimendi – 6/10

His impact on the game was minimal.

ST: Viktor Gyokeres – 6/10

He didn’t do enough to register a goal.
