The Green Bay Packers held their 12th training camp practice on Sunday. Here’s what you missed:
Injury updates
Tight end Tucker Kraft participated in 11-on-11 for the first time since tearing his ACL in Week 9. According to The Athletic’s Matt Schneidman, Kraft caught all five of his targets, including a touchdown during a team period. Back in June, he said he was confident he’d be able to play in Week 1 without a pitch count.
Edge Lukas Van Ness has a shoulder injury and did not practice. He played just three snaps in the preseason opener against the Pittsburgh Steelers, recording a run tackle and a quarterback pressure on back-to-back plays. However, it isn’t clear when he got hurt.
Offensive lineman Darrian Kinnard did not practice after exiting the Steelers game with an ankle injury.
Wide receivers Matthew Golden and Christian Watson, and left tackle Jordan Morgan, all exited briefly with injuries but returned. When Morgan dropped out, Anthony Belton replaced him at left tackle with the first-team offense.
First camp scuffle
The Packers had their first scuffle of camp on Sunday. Linebacker Zaire Franklin and running back Chris Brooks reportedly got into it after a run play. Later, offensive lineman Travis Glover and rookie defensive tackle Chris McClellan came to blows after McClellan landed hard on running back Pierre Strong Jr. Both sidelines cleared, but it didn’t escalate further.
First scuffle of Packers camp is Zaire Franklin vs. Chris Brooks. Franklin basically had him pinned to the ground behind the play after Edgerrin Cooper stuffed a Lloyd run.

Play of the day
Cornerback Brandon Cisse picked off Jordan Love after undercutting a deep out-route intended for Golden during a two-minute drill. The rookie is still working with the 1s and making an impact. Barring an injury, Cisse appears to be on track to start the regular season opener.
Safety Kitan Oladapo also picked off Love during the starting offense’s second attempt at the two-minute drill. Oladapo has been filling in for Javon Bullard as the defense’s starting slot corner.
Play of the day so far: Brandon Cisse undercut an out by Matthew Golden and picked off Jordan Love to end a two-minute drive.

Barryn Sorrell “torn into” by LaFleur
The Packers coach was not happy with Sorrell after he bull-rushed Belton into Love, knocking the franchise quarterback down. That’s a big no-no in practice and resulted in Sorrell getting booted from the drill.
LaFleur just tore into Barryn Sorrell and booted him from a drill after he bull rushed Anthony Belton into Jordan Love and knocked the QB down.

Kicking update
Trey Smack made all four of his attempts on Sunday from 28, 33, 38 and 43 yards. The rookie kicker has been red hot of late. He made all of his kicks in last Thursday’s preseason game, including two 58-yarders, though one was negated by a penalty.
Trey Smack good from 28, 33, 38 and 43. No misses.
